Custom screen protectors

How to apply screen protector perfectly?

Smartphones now are an everyday reality. We use them daily - during commute hours, during boring lessons or work. However, there are still questions left unanswered - the most precious part of your phone is the screen because, without it, the phone becomes pretty useless.

How to protect the screen? How to avoid small scratches, which will eventually appear on almost any mobile screen? Oh yes, they will, even if it's Gorilla Glass.

Mostly it depends on your habits and what do you keep in your pockets. Bringing smartphone to the beach? Probably not the best thing for the screen since there is virtually no glass strong enough to protect against the sand grains which will eventually appear in your pocket. And hair. And all of the clothes. And the couch. Those nasty little.. Oh, sorry, got a little carried away.

We are offering an inexpensive solution to this problem - custom cut screen protector film, which can be quickly applied to any phone and quickly removed - leaving no residue, and taking away all the small scratches from your phone instantly.

Buying a protector is half of the job - you still have to apply it. Luckily with proper knowledge, this is an easy thing to do.

We always want to emphasize that the biggest problem during the application is dust. We do not live in dust free environment, so not taking care to avoid excessive dust can result in having small bubbles trapped between the protector and your screen, which won't just go away.

There are two main methods to do it properly: wet or dry application. We do include the dry method of application on the package because it is a bit faster and most people use it. But it does not mean it's the best, and well, we just run out of space on the package :)

For the maximum result and minimum effort, we recommend trying wet protector application, especially if you want to apply a large tablet protector or 5" phone.

Additional note: before you submerge your phone in to the water, you know you shouldn't do it. No, really, don't. Please take care to avoid water damage to your device, as we are not responsible for the damage.

Wet application works best because the sticky layer of the protector is made from silicone, not glue, so nothing bad will happen to it, and it will not lose stickiness when wet. Please just take care to avoid touching the sticky side of the protector with dry fingers, hold it like you would hold the DVD with precious family photos - just the edges and not touching the shiny stuff.

Step by step wet application method:

1. Prepare. Find a bowl with sufficient space to submerge protector film, or common water sprinkler - i.e. one you usually use for room flowers. Fill the bowl or sprinkler with room temperature water, and additionally, for extra smoothness, you can add a drop of liquid dish soap.

Advice! Before applying protector check if layer marked "2" will peel off easily. This will ensure easier removal of this layer after application and will avoid unnecessary lifting of the whole protector in the end. It is enough just to peel it of by 2-3mm for checking.

2. Ready for action! Peel away "1" marked layer and put in in the water or quickly spray it to avoid dust. If you are submerging it in the water, there is no time limit or requirement; it just has to be wet. If you somehow managed to gather some dust already, shake the protector underwater gently.

3. Prepare screen. Turn off the phone and clean the screen thoroughly. Check if there are no dust particles by holding the phone against the light.

4. Applying protector. Take the protector out of the water and shake excessive wetness. Holding sides of the protector and still not touching the edges, start applying. It is very important to get corners right. If there are some air or water bubbles left, we will remove it in the next step.

5. Removing bubbles Take any plastic card (i.e. bank card, discount card or similar) and swipe across the screen, pushing the bubbles to the edge. Use a paper towel to collect any excessive water. If there still are some spots of water under the protector, they will usually dry out in 24 hours and disappear.

6. Ready to use! After removing the bubbles, there is one last step - removing "2" marked layer. It is important to lift it carefully so you won't peel both layers off your screen. Hold it a little lower while peeling it, and don't rush. If you accidentally lifted both protectors off and got air trapped under protector again, use the plastic card to push them to the sides, just press not so firm this time.

Important! If you were unlucky and bubbles have dust inside them, they cannot be removed with plastic cart. Don't worry, you can still peel protector off, wash the dust away and repeat all the steps. Just be extra careful if you already removed "2" marked layer and avoid touching sticky side.
